Waltham Forest Council – School Capital Repair Programme
Jenny Hammond Primary School, Leytonstone
The project involved the addition of new reception classroom accommodation, providing two reception classes within the school.
CGU Design & Construction acted as Principal Designer, Structural Engineer, and Building Surveyor, supporting the Council in the delivery of the project. Works included a single-storey extension to the south and east of the existing building.
Busy Bees Nursery Developments
Northampton – Spinney Hill
We have supported Busy Bees with the design, surveys, and construction of multiple nursery facilities.
Each project was delivered within budget while maintaining outstanding quality, creating calm, reassuring, and welcoming environments for children and staff.
Parkside Children Centre
Chingford – Waltham Forest
The project involved refurbishment of the existing building and construction of three new rooms to support early years provision for children aged 3–4.
Works included a disabled lift, new MUGA and playground, an air-source heat pump system utilising air and solar energy, window upgrades to improve EPC performance, and modern learning spaces.
Chingford Family Hub
Waltham Forest Council
Design and construction of a new community hub incorporating a public library, multi-use spaces for local residents and community groups, and a café.
The project was delivered as a Design & Build contract with a total value of £617k. Works commenced in Autumn 2021 and were completed by Spring 2023, enabling the Council to open the facility as planned in Summer 2023.
Westminster Council – Community Hubs Programme
Victoria Library & Charing Cross Library
Appointed as Design & Build contractor to deliver internal refurbishment works forming part of Westminster City Council’s Community Hubs programme.
The scope included the creation of two “mini” community hubs, comprising an event reception space, workshop areas, offices, and DDA-compliant washroom and changing facilities, delivered with a strong focus on safety, quality, and programme control.
Rothamsted Park
Harpenden - St Albans
Commissioned by the Council to design, supply, and install secure perimeter fencing around the park, improving safety through controlled access and acting as a deterrent to crime and vandalism.
